Reading, reading, reading
Last week I had a small chat with one of the tutors, Kenny, and a few peers about my honors subject. He seemed happy with it! A lot of scope, he talked briefly about the philosophical issues surrounding the definition of quality ina VFX production. Given we only spoke for ten minutes I can only take this as a small positive rather than using it as constructive criticism that would further the project. This will come with a more in depth discussion.
I have been reading through the most recent articles published by 'Computer Graphics World', found on 'summon', that are related to my area. Also a blog on CG supervision by Isa Alsup who has kindly shown me a masters thesis which appears to be on a very similar track to my own. I have also come accross www.effectscorner.blogspot.com through Isa which appears to be a small gold mine of VFX links, info and gurus.
